The term two Uasin Gishu County Secondary School games officially kicked off on Friday in various grounds around Eldoret town.
Teams from across the county will be battling for glory and a slot to be at the regional games slated for later this month.
In the fans’ favourite soccer, defending champions Arnesens Boys fired a warning shot to opponents after hitting six goals past Moi University in a game played at Wareng High School.
Earlier, hosts Wareng High School beat Moi University 3-1 – a win that sets up an entertaining final pool A encounter against the defending champions.
In pool B, AIC Chebisaas Boys played out to a barren draw against Uasin Gishu High School.
St Michael’s High silenced Paul Boit 2-0 in the Pool C opener.
Champions shine
In soccer girls, defending champions Moi Girl’s High School and St Catherine won their opening Pool A games.
St Catherine beat Ngeria Girls 1-0 before going down 2-0 against the champions.
They however later redeemed themselves with a 1-0 win against Racecourse High School.
In another girl’s game, Kamagut proved too good for Kerotet Girl’s with a 2-0 win.
The hunt for glory in the Uasin Gishu Secondary term two school games continues on Saturday.
Arnesens Boys will be up against Wareng High School in final Pool A clash while Soy Secondary will face off with Uasin Gishu High School.
Uswa will play St Michael in another game for the soccer boys category.
For girls category, final pool games will see champions Moi Girls Play Ngeria Girls while GK Prisons will test their strength against Kerotet Girl’s.
Cheptigit and Wareng will be up against each other in another game.
