96th Kenya National Music and Cultural Festivals

Speaking at the end of the festivals, County Director of Culture Mohammed Haji said they have now shifted focus to preparations for the 96th Kenya National Music and Cultural Festivals that will be held in Makueni.

We have had a good interaction and all the communities living in the county were represented in the festivals,” Haji said.

We anticipate to take the best 10 community groups and as emphasized by the Governor, we expected the teams will be the overall winners this year,” he added.

Last year, the county was overall fourth.

When he graced the official opening of the festivals, Governor Bii promised to facilitate the groups to go to the National level.
