Businessman turned politician Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop popularly known as Buzeki has asked Kenyans to vote in 2027 based on performance of leaders.
According to Buzeki who is believed to be eyeing the Uasin Gishu governorship, the only person who is assured of a second term is President William Ruto as “he is working to fix the broken system.”
“In 2027, don’t be distracted by small handouts from politicians. Vote based on performance and accountability,” the businessman said on Sunday, March 8, 2026.
“No results, no re-election. Only the president is 2 Term, he is working to fix the broken system. All the others must show their track records,” he added.

Who is to blame for floods in Kenya?
On the current floods being witnessed in several parts of the country, Buzeki blamed it to poor leadership and misuse of public funds.
He said Kenyans must demand accountability to all elected leaders in areas witnessing floods.
“If your area floods, roads collapse every rainy season, and drainage doesn’t work, then your leaders have failed you,” Buzeki said.
“MCAs must also be held responsible. Their job is to oversee the governor and ensure county resources are used properly. If infrastructure in their wards is failing, they too must go,” he added.
Nairobi has been the worst hit by floods with over 25 people confirmed dead following heavy rainfall.

Several other parts of the county have also witnessed floods leading to damage to bridges.
In Uasin Gishu, the county on Friday, March 6, 2026, announced temporary suspension of ongoing road works due to the rains.
