Police officers in Kapseret Sub County have launched a probe into a shocking incident in which a middle-aged man is reported to have jumped from the fourth floor of a building.
The man who has not yet been identified is said to have jumped from the Kings Square building – a rental apartment along Eldoret-Kisumu road after he was sacked by the manager.
It is reported that he was sacked after he failed to report to work for several days. He was working at the apartment as a cleaner.
It is believed the man opted to jump off the building after his plea to be spared was ignored by the manager.

“Reportedly he missed reporting to work because he was attending to his sickly wife,” said a source familiar with the incident.
Police say the man was taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital while in critical condition.
“All we know is that at the time we picked him up, he was alive but in critical condition,” said a police source that spoke to Uasin Gishu News.
But while the police could not confirm if he had died, reports suggest he succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment.
Kings Square is a rental apartment located about 9.1 kilometres from the Eldoret Town centre.
