County Assembly Announces Vetting Dates for Uasin Gishu Chief Officer Nominees

The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu has confirmed receipt of names of individuals that Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has nominated to be Chief Officers for various departments.

Consequently, the assembly has set the dates in which the nominees will be vetted to ascertain their suitability.

According to a communication from the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Clerk Shadrack Choge, the nominees will be vetted between February 1st and 2nd 2023.

Eight nominees will be vetted on the first day, while three will appear before the committee on appointment on the second day.

But ahead of the vetting exercise, the County Assembly clerk has invited members of the public to submit any information they might have in regards to the suitability of the nominees.

Submission (s) on the same should be by way of sworn affidavits and should be hand delivered to the office of the Clerk during working hours within the County Assembly Precincts so as to reach him on or before 31st January 2023,” read part of the public notice signed by the Clerk.

Nominees have also been advised to collect questioners in compliance with the first schedule of the public appointments (County Assembly Approval) Act 2017 from the Office of the Clerk and submit the dully filled forms during working hours on or before 31st January 2023.
