Develop Policies To Solve Current Economic Challenges, Eldoret Clergy Tells Government

A section of Church leaders in Eldoret wants the Government to engage economic experts for quick interventions over the current economic situation in the country.

The clergy say there is need for the government to come up with quick solutions to the current tough economic situation that is affecting many households.

Led by the presiding Bishop of Halleluyah churches in Kenya Dr Zablon Malema, they said better policies should be established to address the issue of the economy and help Kenyans out of the difficult situation of lack of basic needs such as food.

The problem of tough economic times cannot be solved by an individual, it requires ideas from everyone and leaders should involve everyone especially experts for us to come up with solutions,” said Bishop Malema.

He also urged Kenyans to come out in handy to support fellow Kenyans who can’t afford food by sharing what they have with the needy.

In addition, Bishop Malema challenged leaders to put aside their political differences and try to work together to find a solution to the economic problem that has left many Kenyans depressed and hopeless in many areas.

Kenyans have been up in arms over the high cost of living worsened by several new tax polices that the government has introduced in the last one year.
