Langas-based ESPODEC FC are the Champions for the 2023 Kapseret Constituency NG-CDF Ladies Football Tournament.
ESPODEC were crowned winners on Friday following 3-1 win against Mwiruti Starlets in an entertaining final played at Wareng Secondary School grounds.
The team’s tactician Maurice Kamau was also named the best coach. They also won the goalkeeper of the tournament awarded to Stellah simiyu.
On their way to lifting the trophy, ESPODEC FC beat Kipkaren Starlets 3-1 in the first group games before smashing 8 past Tuiyo Queens.
In the semi finals played on Friday, the Kamau-coached team silenced Kapseret Queens 4-0.
In the men’s football finals, Langas Superstar beat Momoniot FC to lift the trophy.
The Kapseret NG-CDF Tournament also involved volleyball where Mutwot won the men’s titles while Kipkaren lifted rhe ladies title.
Winners were presented with trophies, boots, football stockings and cash money.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi witnessed the finals and awarded the winners.
