The Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (Eldowas) has a new board chairman.
According to a statement issued by the company early on Saturday, David Sing’oei is the new chairman.
“We are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new chairman, Mr David Sing’oei! We are confident that his leadership, experience, and dedication will propel our organisation to heights,” Eldowas said in a statement.
Sing’oei served as a Member of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly for two terms – representing Nyenyilel ward from 2013 to 2022.
He also served as the assembly’s majority whip.
In the 2022 general elections, Sing’oei vied for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat. He however lost during the UDA primaries.
The former MCA takes over the chairmanship role from Andrew Chelogoi.

ELDOWAS is a corporate entity established under Cap 486 of the laws of Kenya. The County Government of Uasin Gishu is principal shareholder.
The company is mandated to provide water services efficiently and economically in Eldoret town and its environs in compliance with Service Provision Agreement (SPA), as required by the Water Act 2002.
