Votes counting, tallying and announcing of results across Uasin Gishu County is now complete.
This is after the announcing of results for three top county seats – Governor, Senator and County Woman Member of Parliament (MP) on Thursday night.
In the results announced by the IEBC Uasin Gishu County Returning Officer Irene Mutai, the UDA party has scoped all three seats, in addition to all the six MP seats earlier announced.

In the Uasin Gishu County Woman MP seat, incumbent Gladys Boss Shollei easily retained the seat.
Shollei garnered 292,154 votes to be declared the winner against her main rival who had 54,742 votes.
In the Uasin Gishu Senate seat that had only attracted two candidates – governor Jackson Mandago and broadcaster Robert Kemei, the county boss emerged victorious.

Mandago who has served for two terms as governor garnered 252,800 votes to book his seat in the Senate.
His lone competitor Arap Kemei managed 94,895 votes. Kemei was an independent candidate.
And in the gubernatorial contest, Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja beat his fierce rival Bundotich Zedekiah Kiprop Buzeki.
Koti Moja got 214,036 votes against Buzeki’s 127,013 votes to be declared the winner.

Buzeki who was making his second stab at the governor seat has since conceded defeat.

With the results for the three top seats now out, here is the list of all MP-elects in Uasin Gishu
- Turbo – Janet Sitienei Rotich
- Moiben – Prof. Phyllis Bartoo
- Soy – David Kiplagat
- Kesses – CPA Julius Ruto
- Kapseret – Oscar Sudi
- Ainabkoi – Samuel Chepkong’a
All six legislators were elected on a UDA ticket.
