Jonathan Bii Receives Church Blessings, Anointing to Vie for Governor’s Seat

One of the leading contenders for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat in the upcoming polls Jonathan Bii – Chelilim on Sunday received church blessings and anointing.

This was during an interdenominational service that was held at African Inland Church (AIC) Kapsang, in Soy Sub County.

The prayer service was hosted by Rev. Kipsang of the local AIC Kapsang and presided over by Bishop James Kogo of the Peace Mercy Church of Africa (PMCA).

During the event, Jonathan Bii received church blessings and anointments from the church leaders present – drawn from different denominations.

After the prayers, blessings, and anointment, the gubernatorial aspirant invited over 5,000 guests to his home at Kapsang village.

Addressing the guests at his home, Jonathan Bii – Chelilim asked Uasin Gishu locals to support his bid to be the second governor.

“I pledge that my government will be development-oriented which will seek to improve all key sectors,” Bii said.

Among the sectors that Jonathan Bii – Chelilim has prioritized to improve include Agriculture, cooperatives and innovation support, trade facilitation for Small and Medium Entreprises, business incubation, retail, as well as export and import businesses.

He also promises to ensure access to finances by providing affordable loans, grants, and subsidies as well as offering quality and accessible health services.

Manufacturing, industrialization, and investors promotion, quality access to water and infrastructure as well quality access to education, and professional learning linkages are other areas that Jonathan Bii Chelilim is pledging to improve.

Bii is seeking to vie for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.
