The Junior Stars, Kenya’s U17 boys’ national team, have been placed in Group B for the Total Energies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations CECAFA Qualifiers 2024.
The draw, conducted by CECAFA (Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations), placed Kenya alongside Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan in the group.
Hosts Uganda are in Group A and will face Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Burundi.
The top two teams from the qualifiers will represent the CECAFA Zone at the 2025 CAF U-17 AFCON tournament.
Coach Babu will lead the team, supported by assistant coach Anthony Akhulia.
The qualifiers are scheduled for December 14–27, 2024, with all matches set to take place in Kampala, Uganda.
