The Kenya Meteorological Department has said most parts of the country are expected to be generally dry for the next seven days.
In the weather forecast covering August 18 to August 24, 2026, the weatherman however said some counties including Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Lamu, Kericho, Nyandarua and Nyeri may receive rainfall.
“Intermittent cool and cloudy conditions are expected in some parts of Embu, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Laikipia, Meru, Murang’a, Nairobi, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Tharaka-Nithi, Nakuru, Machakos, Kajiado and Marsabit counties,” the agency said.

Daytime (maximum) average temperatures of more than 30°C are expected in much of Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Garissa, Wajir, Isiolo, Marsabit, Turkana, Eastern Kitui, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega counties.
Meanwhile, night-time (minimum) average temperatures are expected to be less than 10°C in some parts of Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado and Trans Nzoia counties.
