LifeCare Hospitals Set To Open New Branch in Eldoret

/

A leading chain of level 5 and level 4 hospitals in Kenya, LifeCare Hospitals, is soon expected to officially open its new branch in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County.

The hospital’s management is currently working on the final touches on the building that will be hosting its branch in Eldoret.

The two-storey building, opposite the Daima Towers, will be hosting the new private hospital in town.

A source that spoke to Uasin Gishu News says the LifeCare Hospitals’ Eldoret branch is already operational, only awaiting an official opening.

It is also expected that the Eldoret branch will be the biggest for LifeCare Hospitals in Kenya today.

It has a fully-fledged doctor’s plaza and about 200-bed capacity,” said the source that requested anonymity.

As of today, Bungoma LifeCare Hospitals’ branch is the biggest with a 100-bed capacity, 15 ICU beds, and 2 modular operating theatres.

Multi-speciality health facility

A building that will be hosting the new hospital sits on about half an acre piece of prime land, along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway – a walking distance from the Eldoret Central Business District (CBD).

The Eldoret LifeCare Hospital will be a multi-speciality health facility expected to offer among others primary care, speciality clinics, surgical services, mother and child care, a critical care unit, dental services, diagnostics, as well as laboratory services.

LifeCare Hospitals was founded in September 2017 in Bungoma Town. It also has branches in Migori, Kikuyu and Meru towns.

At the start of the year, the hospital was targeting to open three more branches in Meru, Eldoret and Mlolongo.

This year our plan of action is to open doors to LifeCare multi-speciality in Meru county and LifeCare Super-Specialty hospitals in Eldoret and LifeCare multi-speciality in Mlolongo,” said LifeCare Hospitals Chief Executive Officer Vikram Jit Singh in April 2022.

Further, the opening of the new hospital will be an addition to the already existing top private hospitals in Eldoret – which has made the town be regarded as a medical hub for the North Rift and Western Kenya.
