Uasin Gishu County Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot has called on county residents to make use of the available county tourism attraction sites to promote domestic tourism.
While hosting regional manager for domestic tourism in Africa Alex Tunoi who led his team to the county on promotion of domestic tourism, Barorot said when residents take advantage of these sites,the county will be known even better on matters tourism.
Tunoi on his part said its time residents take their time to factor holidays as a necessity in their lives and book in advance for them to get good packages.
He also challenged them to do early bookings for the local tourism.
“Early bookings gives you an opportunity to get the best prices to some of the tourists attraction sites,” said Tunoi.
Uasin Gishu Tourism and Wildlife Director Margaret Ayabei on her part listed a number of tourist attraction sites that locals should consider visiting.
Some of the areas she said the residents can visit include Kaptagat forest, Sergoit hills for day excursion, Tiret/Kipkaren resort, Poa Place Resort, River Sosiani Nature and amusement Park, Kesses dam tourist attraction site, Koromosho waterfalls, Ceasers water front and even do farm tours among other sites.
