The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu on February 14, 2023, unanimously approved all nominees of Chief Officers.
Approvals of the individuals nominated by Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim followed their vetting last month.
Chelilim had nominated 13 Chief Officers and forwarded their names to the County Assembly for vetting and approval as required by law.
Following their approval by Members of the County Assembly, the Chief Officers took the oath of office later on Tuesday, after which they were formally appointed by the governor.

“Congratulations Chief Officers on your official appointment today after approval by the County Assembly,” Chelilim posted on his Facebook page.
“You now have a golden duty to serve our royal County with dedication,” he added.
