Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has finally named his new first cabinet that has all new faces.
Chelilim popularly known as Koti Moja named the new men and women who will be sitting in his cabinet for the next five years.
In an address to the press at the county headquarters in Eldoret, Chelilim said the names will be forwarded to the County Assembly for vetting and approval.
The list contains four women with all being new faces from those that served under former Governor Jackson Mandago’s second term.
Here is the full list of the new County Executive Committee Members (CECMs);
- Finance and Economic Planning – Micah Rogony Kipkosgei
- Public Service Management, Administration and Devolved Units – Elijah Kosgey Kipkeny
- Health Services – Eng Kotut Kogo
- Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Cooperatives and Enterprise Development – Eng Martha Jeruto
- Agriculture, Agribusiness, Livestock and Fisheries – Edward Kiprono Sawe
- Water, Sanitation, Energy, Environment, Natural resources & Climate change – Abraham Serem.
- Education, Technical Training, Gender, Social protection and Culture – Janet Kosgei
- Roads, Transport and Public Works – Joseph Kiplagat Lagat
- Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development – Anthony Cheruiyot Sitienei
- Youth Affairs, Sports, ICT and Innovation – Eng. Lucy Ng’endo Njoroge
With the naming of the cabinet, the names will now be forwarded to the county assembly for vetting and approval.
Once approved by MCAs, the CECMs will be sworn in and formally start their roles.
