1.5 Tesla MRI services now at MTRH Eldoret

A 1.5 Tesla (T) MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanner is a medical imaging device that uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body’s internal structures.

The term “Tesla” refers to the unit of measurement for the magnetic field strength, with 1 Tesla equivalent to 10,000 gauss.

Our MRI services harness the power of cutting-edge technology, featuring state-of-the-art MRI machines that provide high-resolution images yet at affordable rates,” MRTH management said.

The facility is run by a highly skilled, multi-speciality team that offers support and ensures an excellent customer experience and professional service.

The team also supports clients through registration and pre-authorization steps under the Social Health Authority (SHA).

Additionally, the Centre houses an Interventional Radiology Unit, where patient assessments and therapeutic minimally invasive procedures are undertaken, and an upcoming Cardiac Catheterisation (Cath-Lab) unit, where life-saving management of coronary artery diseases, including cardiac arrest, will be managed.
