More Students Headed for Finland from Elgeyo Marakwet

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Eng. Alex Tolgos on Monday, December 13, 2021, kicked off the third process of sending students to Finland for higher education.

Another group of 80 students from across the County gathered at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Iten campus to sit for their entrance exams in Diploma in Nursing.

The students are expected to join a winter Class in early 2022.

Speaking during the event, Eng. Tolgos encouraged the students to work hard, keep time, and be disciplined.

He also challenged them to explore more opportunities once in the European country.

Tolgos said that he hopes to take at least 500 students to Finland by the time he leaves office next year.

Also in attendance were staff from Maxglobal being led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cornelius Kiplagat, Coordinator Janet Jeruto, Raymond Omonei, and other County Staff.
