Must-Visit High-End Social Places within Eldoret Town

The festive season is almost over and people are starting to think about school fees and January rent. But if money is not a problem for you, there are a number of places within Eldoret town that you need to plan to visit before the year ends, or schools reopen.

I deliberately mentioned money because, in these places, you might end up spending more than you would in other places that a majority of people frequent.

So let’s get down to business and list for you the places where you are likely to mingle with the affluent in society.

Lobo Village

This is arguably the newest joint in town. Located at Kapseret centre, some 15 minutes drive from town (halfway between Eldoret town and the Airport) Lobo Village is a serene and tranquil environment far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The 13-acre site is accentuated by a large water-pan dam with an island (Kemboi island), a water pond and a natural stream.

While at this place, you can engage in Canoeing, Camping, Tilapia fishing, or Koroga.

Lobo Village has no “lounge” or “car wash cum kinyozi cum bar thing”, or “swimming pool and hotel” – it offers a unique and open space fit to help you relax and spend time in a different and satisfying way.

Eka Hotel

This is one of the few five-star hotels in Eldoret town. It is located within the luxurious Rupa’s Mall, about 5 minute’s drive from Eldoret town centre.

While staying at the Eka Hotel as a guest, you can enjoy the use of the rooftop swimming pool, gym, aerobics, steam bath and massages.

Boma Inn

This is a four-star rated hotel located within the leafy suburb of Elgon view.

The hotel opened in 2013 features a health club with a gym, steam room, sauna, and Jacuzzi as well as a spa and an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers on the pool deck.

Wings 23 Restaurant & Pub

If you want to see what Eldoret town looks like from the tallest building then visit Wings 23 Restaurant located at the Eldoret Daima Towers.

The restaurant does not have rooms so the best you can do is a lunch/dinner out with friends and family. Sunsets are the best.

Sirikwa Hotel

It might have lost its ranking due to the emergence of better hotels but it is still not a common-person hotel.

Sirikwa hotel is three-star rated and features accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.

It is located just 500 metres from the Eldoret town centre.
