Joyce Nakhanu Wamalwa is the new chairperson of the Trans Nzoia County Public Service Board.
The county has also appointed Scholastica Nalobile, Luka Naibei, Henry Bunyasi, Dr. David Lwangale and Isaac Muturi as members of the board.
The team took the oath of office on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Speaking during the ceremony, Governor George Natembeya said he is confident the new team brings wide experience in public service.

He said the board is an agency of the executive. It is responsible for recruiting staff and ensuring discipline in the county public service.
“As a board, you must work in harmony with the executive to avoid squabbles,” he said.
The governor said the board must work professionally and maintain high integrity.
“You will be expected to work quietly as the brains behind the vision of revitalizing the public sector,” he said, adding that the focus should be on improving service delivery.
The governor also challenged the board to prioritize the interests of Trans Nzoia County when recruiting staff.
He said the board must ensure proper management and support the smooth running of the county public service.
The members were vetted by the Trans Nzoia County Assembly Labour Committee last Friday.
The committee later approved the six nominees.
