Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has endorsed the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party Secretary General Cleophas Malala’s call for folding up FORD Kenya and other Kenya Kwanza Alliance allied parties.
Speaking in Kitale Town, Natembeya accused FORD Kenya leaders of being ungrateful for insisting that the party shall not be folded as pushed by Malala.
“This party (FORD Kenya) is very ungrateful because even after the President and his government gave them Speaker of the National Assembly and Health Cabinet Secretary positions, they are not willing to fold,” the governor said.
Natembeya who is also the Deputy Party Leader of the Democratic Party of Kenya (DAP-K) said FORD Kenya has snatched two Members of Parliament elected on DAP-K ticket.
“It is not fair at all; I worked hard and delivered Kiminini and Cherang’any Constituency MP seats but they have been snatched by FORD Kenya,” he said.

Moreover, the former administrator turned politician attributed some of his political tribulations to the second oldest party. This, he says, is after he led a delegation of residents to State House early this year.
State House visit was for development – Natembeya
Natembeya clarified that his State House visit aimed at fostering development in his county.
“The political challenges we are facing stemmed from the State House visit where I led a delegation across the political divide where we presented our development agenda to the President not knowing some people were not comfortable with that visit,” he explained.
The County boss said he has given up on following up on the contents in a memorandum presented to the President and called on his opponents to follow up on the same proposals.
He also linked his strained relationship with his deputy Philomena Kapkory to the party led by Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula.
“They have attempted to portray me as uncooperative. They have managed to convince my deputy to run away. I am surprised that nowadays, she attends their meetings instead of doing what she is required to do,” Natembeya stated.

However, the former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner assured residents of the cosmopolitan county that he is committed and focused on the delivering his campaign manifesto.
