President William Ruto has promised the Kenya National team a heavy financial reward should it secure another win against Zambia in their last game of the CHAN group stages.
Harambee Stars was initially promised Ksh 1 million for each player in every win in the championship.
However, ahead of the crucial match against Zambia on Sunday, President Ruto said a win, which will guarantee them a place in the quarter finals will earn the players Ksh 2.5m each.

In addition, the president said should the team win it’s quarter finals match, it will get another Ksh 1 million and a two bedroom apartment.
“A win against Zambia next Sunday will earn each player KSh2.5 million,” Ruto said.
“If they triumph in the quarter-finals, each will be gifted KSh1 million and a two-bedroom affordable housing unit in a location of their choice,” he added.
The Head of State announced the new promises after meeting the team following their famous win against Morocco.

Each of the Harambee Stars players and the technical bench has already bagged Ksh 2.5 million following wins against DR Congo and Morocco, as well as a draw against Angola.
It currently sits top of Group A with 7 points from three games.
Angola is second with 4 points while Morocco and DR Congo are tied at three points each after playing two games.
Zambia is the only team in the group yet to secure a win.
Mathematically, Kenya has not yet qualified to the last 16, but fate remains in its hands.
