President William Ruto now says his administration has fulfilled the commitments made in the 2022 election manifesto and warned that the opposition lacks the record and vision to sustain the country’s progress.
In a Facebook post dated September 10, 2026, the President said the government did not overpromise Kenyans three years ago.
“We did not overpromise in our 2022 election manifesto on what we would achieve as an administration. We promised what we knew we would deliver,” Ruto wrote.
He added that the results of the last three years are already visible across the country.
“Over the past three years, we have delivered on our promises and transformed our nation. That transformation is visible and being felt across the country,” he said.
Ruto also took aim at the opposition, arguing that Kenyans will not support a return to previous leadership.
“The people of Kenya won’t allow the opposition to take the country backwards. Their lack of a track record, an agenda and a vision for Kenya’s development is a threat to the progress we have made as a nation,” he said.
Road projects in Bomet
The President who has been on a development tour of the South Rift region also announced two road projects in Sotik Constituency, Bomet County.
He said he commissioned the completed 18km Chebole-Kiplokyi-Kapkoros road. He also launched construction of the 28km Kipsonoi-Kamureito-Kapkelei road in the same constituency.
The announcements come as the Kenya Kwanza administration marks three years since taking office in 2022, with infrastructure and delivery of manifesto pledges forming a central part of its messaging ahead of the 2027 general election.
