Various social media platforms were on Sunday awash photos of the recently completed AIC Kapsowar Township church building in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The breathtaking photo of an aerial view of the church left many netizens wowed at the buildings’ magnificent architectural work.
Roads and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen was the first to share the photo before taking social media by storm.

But even as Kenyans marvelled at the building, Murkomen would later reveal that it was designed by a young architect.
According to the CS, the architect behind the building is Eunice Kibor.
Interestingly, Eunice designed the church free of charge.
“The new AIC Kapsowar Township church building is not only a place of worship but also a magnificent piece of architecture designed by Eunice Kibor a young Architect who donated her skills and knowledge to the church,” the former Elgeyo Marakwet Senator said.

A quick scan on social media indicate that Eunice Kibor is an alumni of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) she studied Architecture.
Missionary work
She is also a former Alliance High School student, according to her Facebook profile.
But despite the magnificence of the AIC Kapsowar Township church building, some Kenyans were of the view that millions pumped into the project should have gone to other ‘more important’ activities.
However, CS Murkomen said the Church will serve as a symbol of achievement missionary work has done on the area.

The church was largely constructed through fundraisers and members contributions.
“The rich history of missionary work and community service is now crowned by the spectacular masterpiece that symbolizes past achievements and rejuvenates us to work on a greater future,” Murkomen said.
Kapsowar had benefited from a number of community projects thanks to years if missionary presence in the area.
It has among others the Kapsowar Mission Hospital as well as scholls supported by the African Inland Church (AIC).
