/

We will go down to the villages to identify and create platforms for our youth talented in sports and the arts.”

This was the inaugural statement by the newly sworn-in County Executive for Sports, Youth Affairs, Information Communication Technology, and Innovation, Mr. Robert Kemei, shortly after taking the oath of office on Tuesday.

Kemei, who brings extensive experience in the arts—particularly in content creation and broadcasting—pledged to support Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii in advancing the youth agenda in Uasin Gishu County.

He emphasized that the arts, the digital space, and innovation are closely interconnected and will be key drivers of youth empowerment.

Among his immediate priorities are the Governor’s Cup (Football) Tournament, youth empowerment and training programs, and the continued digitization of government services.

Kemei succeeds Eng. Lucy Ng’endo, who has transitioned to the Department of Education, Culture, Social Services, and Vocational Training.
