Saboti Constituency Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has shared his sterling Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results on social media for the first time.
In a Facebook post that has received several reactions, Amisi takes pride in his 2000 KCPE performance where he scored 590 out of the 700 possible marks.
The flamboyant lawmaker added that he defied all the odds to score the results where he says he could take water and if lucky little food or just tea black tea at home.
“My KCPE record has never been broken 24 years down the line. I sometimes shed tears whenever I remember how I used to trek barefoot a distance of 7km, four times a day morning to school, lunchtime to and fro,” Amisi posted.

The MP says like any other village boy, he used to look after her grandmother’s livestock. He reveals that his grandmother raised him after he lost his parents when he was nine months old.
Reported to Starehe Boys Centre with a padlock only
“In the evening from school I had to go graze our 3 cows, 2 goats and a sheep (that is in case they have not been sold to cater for our survival)” he stated.
After setting a record in KCPE in an unnamed school, Amisi secured a placement at the coveted Starehe Boys’ Center where he reported armed with a padlock only.
“My then Headteacher went to Starehe, early enough before KCPE exams, demanded a yellow form for bright needy students, and my results did not disappoint. I went to Starehe Boys’ Centre,” Amisi revealed.
He further stated that he wore his first shoes at Starehe because his grandmother could not afford a pair of shoes.

“It is against this background that I am determined to make my bursary program benefit many cases in similar or worse situations. To all sabotians, tomorrow is that day again, pick bursary application forms from your polling station anywhere within the constituency,” he appealed.
The legislator, saving his second term at the National Assembly is a passionate champion of transformation of the society through education.
