The County Government of Trans Nzoia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kitale National Polytechnic to enhance training.
On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, County Secretary Truphosa Amere led the county government in signing the MOU, with Kitale National Polytechnic Principal Dr. Tom Mulati signing on behalf of his institution.
The two leaders are optimistic that the MOU will enhance quality training, with the county providing attachments to students from the polytechnic.

The areas of attachment include Finance, Human Resource Management, Agriculture, ICT, Office Administration, Health, Youth as well as Gender, Leadership, and Administration, among others.
“We have been offering attachments to students from KNP, but the signing of this MOU today is important because we will do so under proper mechanisms that are now in place,” said Amere.
Dr. Mulati said the signing of the MOU is a major development, adding that it will also increase the number of students who will benefit from the county government’s training.

Also present were Health CECM Kerio Lorot, his Chief Officer Dr. Judith Simiyu, and County Attorney Walioli Wabwoba.
