Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malalah on Friday, May 15, 2026, met a delegation of party members from Uasin Gishu County who paid him a courtesy call at the party headquarters in Nairobi.
The meeting focused on issues pertinent to the growth and popularization of the Democracy for the Citizens Party in Uasin Gishu County.
According to a statement issued by DCP, discussions centered on strengthening grassroots structures, mobilizing support at the ward and sub-county levels, and enhancing the party’s visibility ahead of upcoming political activities.

“A key part of the deliberations was the rollout of an intensified membership recruitment drive across Uasin Gishu,” the party said.
On party development, both sides agreed on the need to train grassroots leaders on civic education, party policy, and campaign preparedness.
Malalah emphasized that Uasin Gishu is a strategic county for DCP’s national growth, and urged the delegates to maintain discipline, inclusivity, and unity in their mobilization efforts.

The delegation was led by Uasin Gishu County Coordinator Harun Maina Mwega, who assured the party leadership of the county’s commitment to expanding DCP’s base and making it the dominant political force in the region.
Both the Deputy Party Leader and the delegation reiterated that DCP’s growth will be driven by listening to citizens, addressing local concerns, and recruiting members based on the party’s values of democracy and citizen-centered leadership.
