Uasin Gishu Vulnerable Families Get Free Food

Over 1,000 vulnerable families in Uasin Gishu have a reason to smile all courtesy of County Woman Member of Parliament Gladys Boss.

The legislator who doubles up as the National Assembly Speaker on Saturday, July 19, 2025, led an exercise where the families received free food donations.

According to the MP, the food was disturbed to the vulnerable families from the country by the Ministry of Public Service under the State Department of Special Programmes.

We distributed free food from the Ministry of Public Service and State Department of Special Programs to vulnerable families in Uasin Gishu County,” the National Assembly Deputy Speaker said.

Among the food items distributed to the selected families include rice and beans.

Most of the beneficiaries were all smiles as they received the donation that will go a long way towards ensuring the families wellbeing is taken care of.

The State Department of Special Programmes usually distributes food to people living with disabilities, critical clinical care units, hospitals, and religious institutions helping vulnerable families.
