Uasin Gishu County Chief Officer for Lands Nathan Korir on Wednesday led the public participation on the County Fiscal Strategy Paper in Kipsomba ward.
At the event, Korir noted that the Nguzo Kumi blueprint by Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s administration, stands firm to guide Project Implementation in the county.
He also noted that the Kenyan Laws have given the authority to the people to decide on project prioritisation to be done in their respective wards.

The CO further asked locals to use official channels in addressing land issues.
“As the Chief Officer lands, I want to urge our residents to address all land matters from my office to avoid cases of conmanship recently witnessed on the mainstream media,” he said.
“We have heard your areas of prioritisation and we shall present the same to the Governor, water being the largest outcry , we have noted down as a need that requires urgent intervention. The fact that the ECDE has over 100 students also calls for additional classrooms and toilets to enable the children to study well,” Korir added.
Successes of Devolution
Musa Mutai, the Director Protocol accompanying the Chief Officer noted the successes of devolution including road improvement in Kipsomba and also more allocations on land Bank banking that has enabled the acquisition of land for construction of ECDE centres and ward offices that have brought devolved functions closer to wananchi.
