West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin has announced changes to his Cabinet affecting three County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) and four Chief Officers (COs).
In a statement issued on Monday, July 7, 2025, Kachapin said the changes meant to enhance service delivery to the locals take effect immediatly.
Among those affected in the Cabinet reshuffle is Paul Wayakapel who has been moved from the Health and Sanitation Department to the lucrative Finance and Economic Planning docket.
Joshua Ruto who has been serving as the Finance boss has been moved to the Trade, Cooperative Development, Energy and Industry Department.
Meanwhile, Claire Chemutai Parklea is the new Health and Sanitation CECM. She has been serving in the Trade, Cooperative Development, Industry and Energy docket.
Chief Officers moved in the latest changes is Daniel Lopale who will now serve under the Special Programs, Humanitarian Coordination and Disaster Management from Trade, Cooperative Development, Industry and Energy docket and Prisca Chebet Mungo who has been moved from Finance and Economic Planning to Health and Sanitation.
David Chepelion moves from Special Programs, Humanitarian Coordination and Disaster Management to Trade, Cooperative Development, Industry and Energy docket while Naomi Cherotich Lemreng has been handed the Finance and Economic Planning docket on an acting capacity.
Lemreng however remains as the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Chief Officer.
