West Pokot Signs MoU with ElsMed Healthcare Solutions

The county government of West Pokot and ElsMed Healthcare Solutions on January 26, 2023, signed an agreement for the delivery of efficient and effective healthcare equipment to improve health services in the county.

The signing of the MoU presided over by Deputy Governor Robert Komolle and signed by Elsmed Healthcare Solutions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yaron Farachi, West Pokot County Executive Committee Member (CECM) Claire Parklea and County Attorney Robert Katina, will see the company provide medical equipment such as turnkey diagnostics solution systems, medical IT infrastructure services, diabetes and hypertension treatment and renovate proposed diagnostic laboratory facilities and offer pieces of training to medical practitioners.

Deputy Komolle said the MoU will aid in the realization of quality health services that will ensure accessibility and affordability of primary health care for county residents.

He further said the agreement reaffirmed shared commitment to strengthening healthcare services and improving health outcomes.

Komolle also said the county will work with Elsmed Solutions Limited to transform the sector and overcome existing challenges.

On her part, the Health and Sanitation CECM termed the agreement a ‘big milestone’ for the health sector that will transform how services are offered at various health facilities in the county.

The MoU will be implemented in four phases, with the first batch of equipment expected to be delivered within three months after signing the agreement.

Elsmed Healthcare Solutions is an Israeli company that is dedicated to establishing outstanding medical facilities around the world.
