We will focus more in issues that affect the common mwananchi and try to find a solution to them,” Getumbe said in an interview on Tuesday.

Having already been involved in a campaign to sensitize members of the public to embrace the elderly with health problems forced to use diapers, the singer believes with the foundation now fully registered, it will be far easier to enhance the activities.

Without structures, it is usually hard to mobilize resources and help someone. People usually ask which organization is this, but with the foundation, there will be transparency and openness in engagement with partners,” notes the gospel singer.

He plans to plant at least a million tree seedlings under the environment agenda.

Further, he hopes to have distributed at least 500,000 diapers to Kenyans facing health problems that might have forced them to use them.

Health and environment will always go hand in hand. This is why part of my core mission is around the two issues,” said the singer.

He hopes to work with stakeholders that cut across various sectors – from national and county government organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations as well as well-wishers from within and outside the country.

The good thing about a foundation is that we can work with anybody and I’m hoping to impact the society positively,” said Getumbe.

I ask all sponsors to reach out to support our vision of getting diapers to the sick as well as environment so that they come we work together in collaboration and partnership,” he added.

Foundations in Kenya are usually registered and regulated by the NGO Co-ordination Board.
