Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut is in hospital receiving treatment.
Details of why the first-time MP has been hospitalized have not yet been revealed.
Reports on the legislator being in hospital emerged on Wednesday after a number of political leaders in Uasin Gishu visited him.
One of the leaders who made a visit to be MP while in hospital is the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Kiprop Bundotich, popularly known as Buzeki.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Buzeki said; “Passed by to visit my MP and friend Hon. Chepkut as he recuperates in hospital. Our thought and prayers are with him, may good health envelop him, spurring a quick recovery.”
Earlier in the day, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi had also shared photos of his visit to the MP.
“This morning I paid a visit to my friend and colleague Hon. William Chepkut who is currently receiving treatment in hospital. I wish you speedy recovery Mheshimiwa,” Sudi posted on Facebook alongside several photos of him standing beside the fellow legislator.
Chepkut won the Ainabkoi MP seat as an independent candidate, after beating the then legislator Samuel Chepkonga.
