The new Kapsengere Hospital, in Kapsengere Ward, Aldai Sub County which is currently under construction is taking good shape.
The construction of the modern facility is at an advanced stage.
Once complete, Kapsengere Hospital will serve not only as a place for the treatment of acute medical problems but also as the core of a network of cross-border health services.
The project is in line with Nandi Governor Stephen Sang’s development blueprint on improving healthcare services in the region.
Governor Sang’s administration has committed to transforming the health sector in the county through the building of new medical facilities, upgrading the existing ones, and addressing the welfare of workers.
Kaiboi dispensary
Construction for Kapsengere Hospital continues even as residents of Kaiboi in Kabiyet Ward, Mosop Sub County are set to access medical services closer home following the completion of Kaiboi dispensary.
Nandi County Executive for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech said that with the dispensary, residents are able to access outpatient services that include Tuberculosis (TB) treatment, pre-natal, post-natal services, and pharmacy services among others.
“They will also be able to get early detection of ailments that may require further investigation and treatment for which they can be referred to more advanced facilities,” Koech said.
Governor Sang’s administration is committed to the improvement of health infrastructure and service delivery with an aim of achieving universal health coverage in the county.
