The County Government of Uasin Gishu in partnership with Neighbors in Action Kenya (NIAK) and the International Network for Women Living with HIV Kenya (ICWK) Chapter with Support from Global Fund/Kenya Red Cross HIV Grant on Thursday met for a data review to take Stock of the Implementation of Treatment Care Support and Prevention Of Mother To Child Transmission Modules (PMTCT).
The review covers January 2022-March 2023.
Speaking during the meeting, Director of Clinical Services, Dr Ronald Kipchumba, welcomed the partners to the County as he said their support aids in proficient service delivery to free the community from HIV and TB.
“We have commenced the mapping out the community volunteers so that they can assist us in proper documentation between them and the facilities for enhanced quality service deliveries,” Kipchumba said.

On his part, the Director of Preventive and Promotive Health, Dr Evans Kiprotich, noted the need to employ relevant National policies, develop a work plan, and have specific objectives to achieve particular targets, to monitor daily programs.
“We are mapping out cholera areas in the County whereby we have begun testing our waters on taps, boreholes among other water sources to ensure the safety of water to our people,” he noted.
PMTCT Coordinator Doris Murrey further emphasized working together with the stakeholders to stop the menace in the County.
