Deputy President William Ruto is set to make yet another visit to Eldoret town, arguably his last in the home county before the August 9 poll.
The DP, alongside his running mate Rigathi Gachagua and other Kenya Kwanza leaders, is expected to address a mega rally at the town centre.
With Eldoret being his home town, the rally is expected to be a mega one, as he seeks to solidify his political base ahead of the presidential contest.
Uasin Gishu gubernatorial candidate on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja says the rally will be held early on Monday, August 1, 2022.

“Our political patron and Kenya Kwanza’s Presidential candidate,H.E William Samoei Ruto will, tomorrow the 1st of August,be leading a political rally in Eldoret town as from 8am in the morning alongside the rest of the Kenya Kwanza political leaders,” Koti Moja posted on his Facebook page.
“Let’s all purpose to converge in town to give our fifth President a homely welcome in readiness for an extraordinary Bottom Up moment,” he added.
The Kenya Kwanza visit to Eldoret will be coming just a day after Azimio’s visit to the town.
Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua are scheduled to hold a rally in the town on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Huruma Grounds.

DP Ruto was last week in Uasin Gishu that was part of a tour to the Nort Rift counties but skipped Eldoret town.
He only held rallies in Kesses and Moiben, two constituencies UDA candidates are facing stiff competition from independents.
During the rallies, the second in command asked locals to support UDA candidates from top to the bottom.
It will be the second time that DP Ruto will be addressing a political rally in Eldoret town. His first was on January 8, 2022.
