Egerton University has set the date for its 48th graduation ceremony.
In a notice posted on its website on Friday, August 30, 2024, the Nakuru County-based university said the graduation will be held at its Njoro campus grounds.
The date has been set for November 29.
“Egerton University wishes to inform ALL candidates who qualified for the conferment of various degrees and award of diplomas of Egerton University during the 2023/2024 academic year that the 48th Graduation Ceremony will take place on Friday 29th November 2024 starting at 9.00 a.m. at Njoro Campus. ALL GRADUANDS AND GUESTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE SEATED BY 8.30 A.M,” read part of the notice.
Ahead of the graduation, the institution has listed several guidelines that are aimed at ensuring a smooth graduation process and enhancing the accuracy and speed of processing of certificates.
“It is the responsibility of each prospective graduand to confirm his/her EXAMINATION RESULTS by contacting their respective Deans’ offices from Monday 2nd September 2024. The results are also available in the student portal,” the institution said.
Application for Egerton graduation
All prospective graduands who were admitted at the institution since 2015 are required to apply for graduation online through their student portal.
However, prospective graduands who were admitted in 2014 and before, they are required to fill out online and download the “Application for Graduation Form” from selfcare.egerton.ac.ke.
Egerton University graduation fees
Graduants will be required to pay dress, alumni and convocation fees.
Those graduating with a bachelor’s will pay Ksh4,000 for convocation, and Ksh1,500 for the dress while diploma holders will be required to pay Ksh4,00 for convocation and Ksh1,000 for dress.
Further, all graduants will be expected to pay a Ksh1,000 alumni fee.
