Eldoret National Polytechnic Registers Outstanding Performance at KATTI Ball Games

The Eldoret National Polytechnic won two titles and reached the semi finals of two other disciplines in the recently concluded Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) season two ball games.

Coastal National Polytechnic hosted the national event.

TENP’s persons with disabilities (PWD) team won both the volleyball men and women’s national titles (Gold Medal) while the soccer men team finished second (Silver Medal).

Soccer women’s team finished third, winning bronze medal in the process..

In addition, handball and volleyball women teams finished fourth.

All other Eldoret National Polytechnic teams which participated in the KATTI national ball games reached the quarterfinals stage.

In a congratulatory message to the teams for the outstanding performance, TENP chief principal Dr Charles Koech said the results were a powerful testament of the calibre of talent as well as character within the institution.

It is with immense pride and great pleasure that I congratulate all participants, coaches, and staff who represented The Eldoret National Polytechnic at the KATTI Season 2 Ball Games hosted by the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic. Your dedication, discipline, and spirited performance have brought significant honour to our institution,” Koech said.

The chief principal further noted that the success in sport, just like success in academics, was a direct result of tenacity, strategic planning, and unyielding teamwork.

We encourage every trainee to embrace this culture of success. Let the motivation drawn from the sports field inspire greater focus and higher achievements in your studies,” he added.
