The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) students have been challenged to participate in sporting activities.
Institution’s Sports Officer Musa Kibet said this was one of the ways they can nurture their talents.
Speaking during the ongoing Eldoret National Polytechnic Sports Week, Kibet also thanked the institution’s management for organising the event.
The theme for this year’s Sports Week is ‘Striving High Through Sports‘.
According to the TENP Sports Officer, all departments are eligible to participate save for teams going to participate in the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institute (KATTI) regional games.

“As an institution, we are really deep into sports bringing together all the trainees of diverse backgrounds in naturing their talents and identification,” said Kibet.
More than 600 students are expected to participate in the Sports Week dubbed ‘The Principal’s Cup’.
The tournament’s finale is slated for October 12, 2024. The Eldoret National Polytechnic Chief Principal Charles Koech will grace the final day.
“I want to encourage all the trainees together with their departmental sports representatives and the captains of the department to marshal their teams well so that we have a successful tournament,” Kibet said.
The Eldoret National Polytechnic is one of the biggest public institutions in Eldoret City.
It offers a variety of technical courses and has two campuses – the main campus along Eldoret-Kapsabet Road and the town campus at Zion Mall in Eldoret City.
