ELDOWAS Announces Interruption of Water Supply to Kipkorgot, Annex Estates

Kipkorgot and Annex residents on the outskirts of Eldoret City who depend on water supply from the Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (Eldowas) will this week experience interruptions in accessing thr commodity.

This is after the company announced a planned routine maintenance works on one of the plants seving the two areas.

In a public notice seen by Uasin Gishu News, Eldowas noted that the interruption will last for several hours on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

The company said they will be conducting maintenance works on Naiberi Water Treatment Plant that serves the two areas.

This is to notify our esteemed customers from Kipkorgot, Annex and their respective environs that there will be a temporary interruption in the water supply from Naiberi Treatment Plant,” read part of the notice dated January 22, 2025.

This interruption is scheduled for Wednesday January 29, 2025, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm,” it added.

The notice was signed by Eldowas Managing Director CPA Dr Lawrence Tanui.

The interruption is to allow for routine maintenance works of our Naiberi Water Treatment Plant,” it added.

However, Eldowas said during the period, other water treatment plants will remain operational.

This, the company further said, is to ensure the continuity of water supply to unaffected areas.

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and appreciate your understanding,” the MD said in the notice.

Eldowas operates three major treatment plants – the main one being at Chebara Dam in Elgeyo Marakwet County as well as the Kapsoya Water Treatment Plant.
