The Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) has revised its water rationing schedule for all its customers.
A company statement issued on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, indicates that the new schedule will take effect on June 1, 2025.
According to Eldowas, the move to revise the schedule is meant to ensure an equitable and reliable water supply for all customers.
“This program will, however, be reviewed as and when the situation changes,” the company said.
On which days will Huruma estate get water?
Under the new schedule, Huruma, Rural Housing, and Kahoya areas will receive water supply on Sundays at night (5 pm-9 am), Mondays from 9 am to 5 pm, and Thursdays from 5 pm to 9 am.
Customers within the upper Eldoret City CBD, Naiberi Police Station to the main stage will get their water daily from 9 am to 9 am, while those on the lower CBD from mainstage up to Eastleigh and West Indies will receive water supply every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between 9 am and 5 pm.
Eldowas will supply water to its customers in the Eldoret West area three days a week – Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, daytime from 9 am to 5 pm.
Shauri (Shell to Shauri stage and from Shauri stage to Sosiani River will get their water supply during the night from Monday to Friday between 5 pm and 9 am.
