Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisely Rotich on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 named the men and women who will seat in his cabinet.
Accompanied by his deputy Prof. Grace Cheserek, Rotich revealed the names of 10 County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) that will be sitting in his cabinet.
The list comprises of three women and has nominees spread across all the Elgeyo Marakwet Sub Counties.
“In compliance with the provisions of Article 198 of the Constitution of Kenya (CoK) and Section 42 of County Government Act,2012, I Wisley Kipyegon Rotich, Governor of Elgeyo Marakwet County, on this day of 11th October 2022 nominates for appointment the following persons as County Executive Members (CECMs) in the County government of Elgeyo Marakwet, Republic of Kenya,” the county boss said when unveiling the cabinet.

- Alphaeus K Tanui – Finance and Economic Planning (Keiyo South).
- Edwin Kibet Seroney – Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (Marakwet West).
- Edwin K. Kibor – Education and Technical Training (Marakwet East)
- Michael K Kibiwott – Health ervices (Keiyo South)
- Jason K Lagat – Water, Environment and Climate Change (Keiyo North)
- Thomas K Maiyo – Lands, Physical Planning, Housing & Urban Development (Keiyo North)
- Emmy J Kosgey – Roads, Public Works and Transport.(Marakwet West)
- Robert K Kangogo – Co-operatives, Trade, Industrialization, Tourism and Wildlife (Marakwet East)
- Purity J Koima – Sports,Youth Affairs, Culture, Children and Social Services (Keiyo South)
- Monica Jeptum Rotich – Public Service, Devolution, Administration, Communications, ICT & E-governance.(Marakwet West).
Following the appointment, the names of the CECM nominees has now been forwarded to the Elgeyo Marakwet County Assembly for vetting and consideration.
The nominees will be formally appointed once approved by the County Assembly.
