Elgeyo Marakwet Signs MoU with Parklands Baptist Church

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich last week signed a 10 year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Parklands Baptist Church Nairobi and its stakeholders to build peace in Kerio Valley.

The MoU will cover promotion of peace through outreach activities, psychosocial support for residents in the area affected by conflict, building of synergy for development and growth.

Further, the church will assist in creating linkages and networks for the County to promote it as a destination for investment.

The Governor signed the MoU on behalft if the County while Parklands Baptist Church Senior Pastor Reverend Ambrose Nyangao signed on behalf of the stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, the county bjss thanked the Church for their partnership in bringing peace in the valley through their ‘Love Embraced’ program.

The church also hosted a prayer breakfast for County Staff with Rev Nyangao delivering a sermon on making a difference today in their work.

Present was Chairman of Elgeyo Marakwet Pastors Fellowship Bishop Haroun Kwambai, Deputy Governor Prof Grace Cheserek, County Secretary Paul Chemmuttut, CECs and COs among other staff.
