Governor Sang Meets KMPDU Officials

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang on Thursday held a consultative meeting with the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) officials.

The meeting was regarding the enhancement of staff welfare and the elevation of service delivery standards within the health department.

During the engagement, the Governor highlighted his administration’s consistent commitment to empowering various medical professionals in the county to advance their expertise through training, while also continually enhancing their well-being.

Sang noted that he has taken deliberate steps to foster the expansion of the health department’s workforce.

He also assured medical practitioners in the county of his continued support to deliver services to the people.

On their part, the KPMDU officials pledged to forge a harmonious working relationship with the County Government of Nandi to help in the delivery of quality healthcare in the county.

They further said that good working relations between the County Government and the union will go a long way in enhancing service delivery to the county residents.

The KMPDU delegation was led by KMPDU National Secretary General Dr. Davji Atellah.

Present at the meeting were the County Secretary Dr Francis Sang, CEC for Health and Sanitation Ruth Koech, Chief Officer for Health Fredrick Kiptum members of the County Public Service Board and KMPDU Nandi Branch officials.
