The County Government of Uasin Gishu has made significant strides in enhancing the quality and timeliness of service delivery to its residents.
As part of Governor Jonathan Bii’s Nguzo Kumi blueprint, the Uasin Gishu County Hospital, along with Ziwa, Turbo, and Huruma Sub County Hospital, has been instrumental in providing specialized services including orthopaedics to the county’s population.
The services play a vital role in treating the musculoskeletal system which includes; bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles.
The Department of Health Services has undertaken initiatives to address orthopaedic concerns and cater to the needs of its residents by providing quality and timely orthopaedic services.
Uasin Gishu County Hospital has been at the forefront of offering comprehensive orthopaedic care equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a team of skilled orthopaedic specialists.

The hospital has been able to diagnose and treat various musculoskeletal conditions from fractures and joint replacements to sports injuries and spinal disorders therefore covering a wide range of orthopedic treatments.
Furthermore, the department has strategically placed orthopaedic units in Ziwa, Turbo, and Huruma Sub County Hospitals to ensure that residents across the county have access to orthopaedic services closer to their homes.
Governor Bii’s administration has also effectively reduced the burden on the district hospital and improved the overall accessibility of orthopaedic care.
His commitment to quality care is evident through the county’s investment in modern medical technology.
