Budget for flagship projects slashed

Last year, Members of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly voted to approve the first Supplementary Budget submitted by the executive that saw a scale-down of budgets to several projects.

Among the flagship projects whose allocation was scaled down included the construction of Ziwa, Kesses, Turbo and Moiben Sub County Hospitals.

An allocation for the construction of Kesses Hospital was reduced from Ksh40 million to Ksh38 million while Ksh56 million was allocated for the Turbo Sub County Hospital, down from the initial allocation of Ksh56 million.
