Land Ownership Row between KDF Officers, Locals in Eldoret Leaves Two Dead

Two people have been confirmed dead following a land ownership row pitting Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officers and locals at Chebarus area in Kiplombe on the outskirts of Eldoret town.

The two were killed, allegedly, by the KDF officers from Moi Barracks.

Nation reports that trouble began when a section of locals in the area tried to block KDF officers from erecting beacons at Chebarus primary school.

It is reported that locals and KDF have both been claiming ownership of a 9,000-acre piece of land in the area, part of which being where the soldiers wanted to erect beacons.
