List of Uasin Gishu Chief Officers Nominated By Chelilim

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim alias Koti Moja has nominated 13 individuals to serve in various departments as Chief Officers.

In a press release issued on November 30, 2022, the Governor also said he has forwarded the names of the Chief Officers to the County Assembly for consideration.

Of the 13 nominees, six are women. Further, none of the Chief Officers that served during the former administration has been retained.

Koti Moja further said the nomination has been made following a recommendation from the County Public Service Board.

“It is hereby notified that consequent upon recommendation by the County Public Service Board, I have on this 30^th day f November 2022, pursuant to sec 45 (i) (a) of the County Government Act No. 17 of 2012, caused nomination of the under listed persons for appointment to the County Chief Officers in the Department indicated against their names,” the governor said in the press release.

Ambrose Kiprotich Tarus – Water, Irrigation and Sanitation
Mary Chepkogei Kerich – Energy, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources
Joyce Sang – Promotion and Preventive Care
Paul Wangwe Ongeti – Clinical Services
Marion Birigen –Public Service Management
Abdirahman Mohammed Sankor – Partnership, Liason and Linkages
Eliud Kipkorir Chemaget – Finance
Elijah Koech – Agriculture and Agribusiness
Nixon Cheplong – Livestock and Fisheries
Julius Koech – Housing and Urban Development
Ruth Samoei – Education and Vocational Training
Eunice Jemutai Suter – Gender, Social Protection and Culture
Nahum Jelagat Tirop – Youth and Sports

“The nomination shall be subjected to the County Assembly for consideration in accordance with the provision of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017,” the governor noted.
