Eldoret is one of the economically vibrant towns in Kenya today.
Due to its vibrancy, the town has attracted several top financial institutions.
In total, there are over 30 banks in Eldoret, with some having several branches.
Among the most popular banks that have a presence in the city of champions include Equity Bank, KCB, Cooperative Bank, Absa Bank, NCBA, Standard Chartered Bank and Family Bank.

Here is a look at the location of some of the commonly known banks;
ABC Bank
The African Banking Corporation Limited (ABC) bank has a branch at Zul Arcade, along Odinga Odinga Street.
Bank of Africa Kenya
It has a branch opposite Barng’etuny Plaza, along Uganda Road.
Absa Bank
Previously known as Barclays Bank, Absa bank’s Eldoret branch is at Absa Bank Building, along Kenyatta Street.
Central Bank of Kenya
The Central Bank of Kenya is the monetary authority of Kenya. Its head office is located in Nairobi. However, it also has a branch in Eldoret at Kiptagich Plaza along Uganda Road.
Co-Operative Bank
It has three branches in Eldoret town. The oldest branch is at the Co-operative Bank building along Ronald Ngala Street.

The second branch is at Riet House, next to Kogo Plaza while the newest one is at The Anchor Building along Kenyatta street.
Equity Bank
The bank has three two branches in Eldoret – one at the Nakumatt building along Odinga Odinga Street and the second one near the Municipal market.
Family Bank
Its branch in Eldoret is at Aziz Akibar House along Kenyatta Street.
Diamond Trust Bank (DTB)
Zion Mall, opposite Barngetuny Plaza
KCB
The Kenya Commercial Bank has two branches in Eldoret. The first one is at KCB Building, Along Kenyatta Street while the second is at Kiptagich House, Malaba Rd.
National Bank
It has a branch at the National Bank building along Uganda road, opposite Central Police Station.
Access Bank
Previously known as Transnational Bank, Access Bank’s Eldoret branch along Oginga Odinga street.
Kenya Women Microfinance Bank
It is located near Miyako Hotel, along Moi Street (Maili Nne stage).
Credit Bank
It has a branch at KVDA plaza.
Standard Chartered Bank
This is the oldest and the first bank to set up a branch in Eldoret. Its branch is along Kenyatta Street.
There are many other banks that have branches in Eldoret including Bank of India, NCBA Bank, Consolidated Bank, Stanbic Bank, and NIC Bank among others.
